Fortune magazine and Great Place to Work have named Integrated Project Management Company, Inc. (IPM) one of the 2021 Best Workplaces for Millennials.
The award is based on analysis of survey responses from more than 5.3 million employees born between 1981 and 1997. Great Place to Work determined the winners by gathering and analyzing confidential survey responses from employees. Survey questions included employees’ level of trust in their employers, whether they feel they can reach their full potential, the effectiveness of their leaders, and more. Companies are assessed on how well they create a great employee experience, regardless of workers’ age, role, and other factors.
To be considered, companies had to meet the Great Place to Work-Certified standard and employ at least 50 millennials. At IPM, 41% of the workforce are millennials.
“We’re proud to be recognized as a great workplace for millennials,” said IPM President and CEO C. Richard Panico. “Our employees are our greatest asset, and millennials represent emerging and future leadership. The workplace attributes that they, and all of our family members, value today will help sustain our company into the future.”
Among small and medium sized companies nationwide, IPM ranked No. 98. Overall, 95% of IPM’s employees responded that IPM is a great place to work. This number is 61% higher than average responses, as 59% of typical U.S. companies say the same of their own workplace.
Fortune cited a millennial IPM employee, who said they appreciated IPM’s extensive charity work and “treating our staff as real people and putting those people and their personal lives above work when emergencies arise.”
