Following three decades headquartered in the same office, yet growing consistently, Integrated Project Management Company, Inc. (IPM) sought a new facility to accommodate its roster of more than 200 employees and counting. Another mandate: The space must be welcoming, comfortable, and practical for both IPMers and visitors to the Burr Ridge, Ill.-based business consulting firm.
“We’ve begun another exciting chapter in our company’s history,” said IPM Founder, President, and CEO C. Richard Panico. “After 30 years and seven months, IPM is operating in a new home that allows us to showcase our capabilities in an environment that is conducive to collaboration and reflects our investment in continuous improvement.”
IPM’s new facility, at 25,000 square feet, more than doubles the area of its prior headquarters. The facility has a number of accommodations for its family members from across the country. The 10,000-square-foot Century Center, named for the company’s founding vision to endure for more than 100 years, serves as a gathering place. It houses a state-of-the-art training room, large kitchen and dining area, multiple meeting and collaboration spaces, and a chapel, dedicated in honor of Panico’s parents, who profoundly influenced the journey of IPM through their uncompromising values and enduring work ethic. Conference rooms in the Century Center suit a variety of needs, from one-on-ones to video conference calls to team meetings, and open collaboration spaces enable more informal brainstorming and sharing sessions.
Upstairs, the space includes offices, cubicles, and an executive boardroom, as well as flexible working areas, standing desks, and huddle rooms. Enclosed offices and conference rooms feature windows that let natural light through, and tall ceilings and LED lighting also help create a bright and open environment. Prominently displayed recognitions, such as IPM’s 2018 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, instill pride as well as demonstrate quality.
The multiple meeting options enable IPM to host clients and other visitors for training and knowledge sharing in a setting that conveys the organization’s high standards. From the reception area to the office space to the Century Center, IPM celebrates its Fundamental Values through signage and art.
On the heels of a branding evolution that includes a revised logo and redesigned website, the new headquarters embodies IPM’s identity as a great place to work and a great company to work with.
