Stacy Townsend is a Director in IPM’s San Francisco office. She has 20 years of experience managing and executing academic and companies’ strategic projects and programs in the life sciences and biotechnology industries.
Stacy has worked with startups and large industry partnership programs in product development, project portfolio management, and building project management office frameworks. She has experience leading preclinical research and development and clinical development supporting regulatory submissions of cosmetic, device, biologic, drug, and FDA indexed products. Her experience includes a broad scope of therapeutic indications and leading cross-functional teams with various therapeutic modalities to bring products to clinical trials. Stacy’s keen insight in the development of creative tools and processes to manage workflows and communication supports informed decision-making and accurate program timelines.
Stacy holds a BS in Biology from the University of California, Riverside and a PhD in Veterinary Microbiology from Texas A&M University. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI) and SAFe 5 Scrum Master (SSM) with Scaled Agile.
