Virgil Yumo serves as Senior Director, Operational Excellence for IPM and is on the leadership team of the New Jersey office. The OpEx practice includes a group of consultants who help execute solutions for critical challenges involving manufacturing improvement, capital management, supply chain optimization, and more.
Virgil began his professional journey as a United States Army Officer. He joined IPM in 2007 and gained project experience spanning a variety of industries, entailing a wide array of service areas, and engaging stakeholders in the US and internationally. He has been a core team member of IPM’s Mergers and Acquisitions Center of Excellence since 2015.
Virgil earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Science in Health Informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) as merited by the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), and has attained Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) status through the American Society of Quality (ASQ). Virgil volunteers as a mentor in the PMI New York City Chapter and is a member of the PMI New Jersey Life Sciences Community of Interest.
