HOW WE’VE HELPED OUR CLIENTS:

  • Sped ag business product development

    • Sped ag business product development

Challenge An ag business giant was in a competitive race to be among the first to launch drought-tolerant seeds using a combination of their native-trait process and their genetically modified trait method.

Approach IPM reviewed the company’s approaches, research sites, genetic engineering labs, and field locations to understand processes and clarify steps taken to further the drought-tolerant seed development. We outlined team collaboration, communication, and risk management plans.

Results IPM’s project management allowed the company to successfully combine its drought-tolerant efforts into a single, well-orchestrated program to speed its process toward commercialization.

  • FDA approves company's 1st nutraceutical-enhanced sports drink

    • FDA approves company’s 1st nutraceutical-enhanced sports drink

Challenge A beverage manufacturer was in the process of creating a sports drink with added nutraceuticals (ingredients with health benefits) and needed to comply with FDA guidelines.

Approach IPM assessed and coordinated resources, created a documentation e-room for consistent communication, and planned and executed FDA submissions.

Result The systematic approach to gathering evidence to support nutraceutical health benefits favorably affected the outcome of the product. The FDA acknowledged the nutraceutical as a safe product, not only allowing its use in the company’s first nutraceutical-enhanced sports drink, but as an additive safe for future foods and beverages.

  • Planned and implemented global development project

    • Planned and implemented global development project

Challenge A plant sciences research center had formed a team to support four global genetically modified crop development projects in emerging countries. The team needed to identify the international regulatory and safety needs for each of the four efforts and take the steps required to ensure compliance.

Approach IPM created an integrated project plan and schedule that included work to be performed, roles and responsibilities, and interdependencies between activities and the responsible party. We ensured that specific safety and regulatory needs for each of the four crop programs in multiple countries were clearly identified and drove completion of necessary documents for each programs’ regulatory packages.

Results In the span of a few months, the safety and regulatory initiative progressed from a simple problem statement to team formed, scope and roadmap defined and confirmed, and project executed.
